Star Status

OMG... MY BELOVED, DEAR FRIEND WROTE THIS ONE PIECE FANFICTION FOR MEEEEEEEEEEE AND IT IS... D I V I N E

I quickly dash across the meadow. Chest heaving at the effort in maintaining both stealth and speed. I hid in the troughs of the hills I have run many times before. I spot keenly the patrols as they methodically march by. I have never been caught and I will never be caught, for my strength of will is fueled by what is to come. Slowly but surely, as I have many times before, I reach my destination. I reach out in pitch black night and feel for that small indentation next to the buttruss of the castle wall. It is my secret alone given to me by who loves me most.

The stone pushes inward and a well-oiled, near-silent mechanism whirrs behind the wall. The stone door slides smoothly out of my way, revealing a sharply winding staircase. At the base there is a freshly lit torch that he has left for me; My love. As I catch my breath I find myself staring into the flames. Two tendrils of flame of equal ferocity licked and sputtered and encircled one-another, reaching high above the torch. Each seemingly trying to douse one another yet each becoming greater for the effort.

"Life, death, and love come from the most innocuous places", Karin mused. She gathered her thoughts and quietly strode inside, her heart thumping in anticipation. She reached out and carefully grasped the torch, gathered the skirt of her dress so as not to trip, and made her way upstairs. The wall she could hear softly sliding back into place, hiding her beautiful disgrace. The climb, as it always was, was time to reflect on her thoughts. To steel herself against her betrayal, as it was betrayal, but to also steel herself for allowing herself to love another, as it was certainly love unlike anything she has ever felt, unless in his embrace.

What's Updog

Howdy! Last night I was feelin' happy about getting a lot of things done. This workweek feels like forever though; why is time going by so slowly?

I had a lot of things I wanted to say last night but now that I'm actually before a computer and typing, everything escapes my mind. I guess the only real update is that I've been going to the gym with my friends, and honing my cooking skills. I've also been drawing a lot more than I used to, and getting back into a comfortable ~creative~ groove. I've been way too hard on myself for way too long, and it's been a lot of fun dissecting how I got to be living that way.

Last month I churned out some FE doodles to celebrate how happy I was to get Nils in FEH. They're silly doodles but seemed to be well-enjoyed.

Baby boy came home! BIG HUGS

Baby boy is never leaving me, hence the handcuffs
Claude: ... what is this

I've been relatively uninspired since February, actually. I can also analyze myself as a very lazy artist that can't seem to put in the work to make clean lines/colouring, so I'm doin' everything for fun. FUN! I need to keep drilling that into my own head.

"Sandwich"

Lol hello - thanks to the inspiration from my friends, I was able to churn out some random drawings and they were really fun! I'm slowly getting back into the scribble-art days of my youth, and it's been great.

Welp, it's FE stuff (no one is surprised) featuring FE boys (again, surprising no one). Heh! It all started when I said I'd draw myself in a sandwich with Claude and Dimitri:

But then I decided, what the heck, I'm actually going to draw a second - literal - version. LOL hidden behind the cut in case no one wants to see some weird ass art courtesy of moi, heheheh... ... ...

Wednesday, January 29, 2020

I signed up for a gym membership alongside two of my friends at the Club16 near our office. We're truly the three stooges. I can't believe I got roped into working out, because I don't really care about any of that really. But they seem to really want to get into shape, so I'm along for the ride.

I did rowing, squats, leg presses, and dumbbells for my first session at the gym and I feel good about it. I've been feeling a lot of rage these days, not a super-fueled Dimitri rage, but a slow smoldering discontent, so working out will likely benefit my mood. I've also acquired this weird tickle in my throat, like I'm on the verge of getting sick, and it could fall either way. January 2020 has been a thorn in my side for the most part, but I'm venting, good things have happened as well. I'm too lazy to speak about everything but at least I'm finding the time to come and write about shit here.

Last night I found out Lif is being released in FEH, which is amazing because I have to have him - and he's voiced by Edward Bosco. He is one cool dude, lol. What can I say, I just adore sexy anime boys???

Fire Emblem has no shortage of cool boys. I don't even care that they're fictional, I'm an artist and writer! (Albeit self-proclaimed.)

Look at this bangin' art of Claude, for instance. L-O-V-E

Don't get me wrong, I love Dimitri too. HAHA, what??? I'm glad that we're going to get some cool new characters for FEH's CYL4. I'll have to choose who I'll pick, but if Claude's there then it's most likely gonna be Claude, yeah?????

Reckless Behaviour

Pilot

Karin woke up one morning and things were not as they were before. For starters, when she rolled over in bed, she was shocked to find someone else sleeping there!

She didn't scream, because at first she thought she was still dreaming. The man in question had bronzed skin that glowed as if he had been kissed by the sun. His dark, defined curls were gently slicked back, and a small braid hung down his left cheek. He was sleeping soundly, curled up into one of her fluffy pillows like a cat.

Not knowing what else to do, Karin smacked him on the shoulder.

"Hey! Wake up!"

His striking green eyes jolted open, and he stared up at her in bewilderment.

"Oh... Good morning to you, too. That's a special way to wake someone."

"Who are you?" Karin demanded. "What are you doing here?"

The emerald-eyed man sat up, and the blanket slid off his body in the process. Karin's jaw dropped when she realized he wasn't even wearing any clothes. She ripped her eyes away from his muscular chest and averted them to the ceiling. She inhaled deeply, trying to steady her rapid heartbeat.

"Okay. I'm going to ask you again! Who are you, and why are you in my bed?!"

"You really don't remember? That hurts my feelings a tad." The man lifted up his left hand, where a shining ring adorned his fourth finger. "I'm Claude. You know, your husband, Mrs. Von Riegan."

Shock settled in again immediately. Karin's eyes were as wide as saucers as she glanced down at her own hand; sure enough, there was a matching ring adorned with a shining stone around her left ring finger. Fortunately, she noted that she was safely wearing pyjamas, so she had that going for her at least.

"My husband! We're married?" she echoed this information in disbelief. "How did this happen?!"

Claude scratched his head, perplexed as to how someone could forget such a momentous event. "You started telling me how deeply you cared for me, and how you wanted to go someplace far away together. We ended up exchanging rings."

"Is that really true?" Her memory was all once big blank.

He shrugged. "I had no idea you felt that way about me. But I was glad you did. Honestly, if this is some sort of joke..."

A pang of guilt shot through Karin's chest as she observed Claude's crestfallen expression. The ring on his finger was unmistakably the one given to her by her late father. He was wearing her late father's ring! If she couldn't remember anything, and what he was saying was the truth, then she would have to roll with it.

"No. I'm sorry to make you feel that way. I... I am sure everything I said was the truth."

She observed the ring on her own hand again, watching how the gem sparkled in the bright morning light streaming in from the window. It truly was a magnificent stone.

"Anyway, why don't I go and make us breakfast? My cooking is fantastic, I'll have you know." Claude leaned over and gave her a peck on the cheek.

Karin made sure to look the other way as Claude got out of bed. She waited until the sound of his footsteps faded before burying her face into a pillow and screaming.

She had to get to the bottom of this!

Karin changed into her attire for the day, which consisted of a loose-fitting sweater and skinny jeans.

A drunken escapade leading to a public proposal... but why couldn't she remember any of it? Something wasn't adding up.

She bit her lip and paced nervously around her room. Moments passed, and the aroma of something delicious wafted up from the kitchen.

Curiousity got the best of her and she finally made her way downstairs. Claude was standing by the stove, still shirtless but sporting a pair of joggers that showcased his assets quite obviously. Karin felt the life force draining out of her (all due to embarrassment) as she tiptoed behind him to peek at what he was making. She watched him sauté the tomatoes, onion, garlic and spices before making four small divots in the mixture and cracking four eggs into the pan.

"What's this?"

"It's called shakshuka. Basically, eggs poached in tomato sauce. My mother used to make this for us all the time."

"Smells good."

"I've poured you some tea, and there's a basket of bread on the table. Why don't you sit down first?"

"All right."

Everything felt awkward as heck, but Karin wasn't about to say no to a dreamy guy making her breakfast, especially if said guy was apparently her husband -- at least, for the time being.

"Ta-daa! Breakfast is served."

Claude lifted the cast iron pan and set it on a trivet at the table. Karin's mouth watered at the sight of the crumbled feta cheese and chopped parsley adorning the poached eggs. The two of them sipped black tea and began to eat together.

"This is amazing!" Karin gushed, stars bouncing from her eyes. "I love the smoky, spicy flavour."

"You kept rambling on and on about how much you adored spicy food, which is right up my alley." Claude winked and was very satisfied with her reaction.

"Um, well." Karin blushed, not knowing what to say. Her eyes drifted to the time on the microwave. "Ah! I have to head to work. Thank you so much for the meal."

"No worries. I'll see you tonight."

Claude stood, strong arms gripping the table edge as he leaned over for a kiss. A flustered Karin found herself shoving the last piece of pita bread into his mouth.

"See you!" she stammered, gulping down the last bit of her tea and fleeing from the room.

"What a strange girl," Claude mused to himself, smiling despite receiving the icy response. He hummed to himself as he cleared away the dishes.

He couldn't remember the last time he had felt this happy.

Karin got off the bus and began walking to the university in a complete daze. Although she was a professor there, many still mistook her for a student due to her youthful looks. She probably fit the part of a student even more with her head in the clouds like it was today.

Sacred Lines

I start work tomorrow bright and early, and have to wake up at 6AM. I'm quite proud of myself for opening my laptop and coming to the blog, instead of zoning out over Fire Emblem: Three Houses like I normally do (I still might play a little, later). There's a lot to be thankful for today, and I wanted to focus on my goals; that is to say, my goals to be more diligent in writing and blogging and getting back to my first loves.

What's blocking me? Well, I'm ashamed to practice in the "silly" things that I've enjoyed in my youth, namely being creative and having fun. But, I've been watching other artists and writers pursue their hobbies and I am slowly realizing that while I don't see it seriously as a career or anything like that, I have to recognize what I'm depriving myself of. A group of us get together almost every week to play Dungeons and Dragons; nobody ridicules that! In fact, game nights are popular bonding activities for friends.

Art always imitates life. So perhaps, I should draw on my own life experiences and my love for Fire Emblem/JRPGs and create something like I did when I was younger. I always reference the 'me' from the past, but I don't know why, because I can't ever go back there. Nor should I want to! But, that being said, I do want to revamp some of my old OC's. Venhir (pronounced: veh-neer), my darling little boy that is both cheeky and mischievous. Faust, Erik, Cyril/Saviry. I had a whole cast of male OC's. But not many females ones - I should work on that... I mean, I do have Maya, who I use in Pokemon A/U's and DnD, but I haven't fleshed her out much.

In any case, now that I've been doodling away on the iPad, I can afford a bit more time in decorating some new characters for stories. So, I'd better get going! I'm off to play a bit more FE before bed. Gotta load up on my daily dose of fanservice!!! ;D But before that, I guess I'll write a little snippet of sorts. Why not, gotta push ourselves forward in life, ya? YA~!

Apathetic Curse

I've been playing Fire Emblem: Three Houses extensively over the last couple weeks and I've been finding it super fun. I'm enraptured by the charming male characters in the game - that never ceases to please. My favourite characters are Dimitri, Felix, and Ashe - not necessarily in that order, but all three of them really glowed up over the course of the game and all three have their own distinct charms.

Still, as I play through this game I find myself 50/50 about my investment level compared to Awakening or Fates, which I've replayed several times. It's a good story, and the gameplay is fluid and easy to manage, however I find myself less enthused about many things as I've grown older.

For instance, I fangirled HARD over Sacred Stones and replayed the heck out of that game when I was younger. When I compare my enjoyment of FE now on a gaming console with better graphics to the 8-bit games of old, I somehow feel apathetic about the games now. They capture my attention for a brief time, like a cheap thrill, but at the end of the day the impact on my creativity is minimal. I suppose that's the way of things, now.

Many people look out for me. Friends, colleagues, family. And yet, I feel...

FE Rambles & Co.

I constantly have thoughts swirling through my head throughout the day, but whenever I sit down to try and collect them, I am never successful. It's like whenever I'm sitting in front of the screen, everything I long to say escapes me, but it was never like that before!

I used to be able to sit here and talk freely about whatever was on my mind - things I love to do, things that happened in my day, or whatever feelings were present at the time. Something has numbed me; perhaps, I have numbed myself in the process of trying to grow up.

Anyway, I've been unwell again and sometimes I feel like my body isn't doing right by me. I have a pretty delicate stomach these days and I never used to. There were a couple mornings last week where I threw up on the way to work, and eating certain foods makes feel nauseous. But I digress, I did not come to talk about my boring work issues. I came to talk about FIRE EMBLEM!!!

You see, I've been playing Three Houses and I've been really enjoying being a busty, navel-boasting, expressionless professor at the Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. What? OH LOL, ok wrong fandom. anywho, it's been a real good ride getting to know all the little teenyboppers from the Blue Lions house. i finally realized why i enjoy Fire Emblem so much, as opposed to other gaming franchises.

a central theme in FE is being a noble (lord/lady, prince/princess) and born into whatever role they happened to be in. I often feel like I am trapped in my role as well. My family has always been a loving one. Although i do not always get along with my younger siblings, i know they care for me, and my parents would do anything for us. i enjoy the benefits of coming from a loving family who is financially stable. i drive a car, i have a job, i own a dog, i can afford to dine out and purchase nice things, whatever i fancy, to an extent. but i am fully aware that these blessings come from my family, who i was born as on this earth, and very little of are fruits of my labour. it's like being from a noble house in Fire Emblem.

i owe so much to my family that i have a role to fulfill. as a daughter, as a big sister, as a lady. i feel the pressures surround me and i know i cannot escape from my obligations to my family, even though sometimes all i want to do is run away. it is the way of things, isn't it? i couldn't possibly make it on my own without sacrificing a level of my standard of living. many people don't understand that. if i were to live a more frugal life, and gave up a portion of the luxuries i enjoy, perhaps i would be feeling a lot more independent and mentally well. but at this time, i financially carry a portion of my household, and i feel as if that is the way it should be. even if i'm unhappy.

Idle Status

Been playing a lot of Fire Emblem Heroes, as usual. I truly love Fire Emblem as a franchise and vividly remember sitting in the hallways at lunchtime when I was in elementary school, plugging away at FE8: Sacred Stones on my Gameboy Advance. I was around thirteen years old then.

Now, at twenty-seven, I still love the characters more than ever. And I've been thinking about whether or not to 5* Naesala, the raven king. I do like him, but I'm unsure of how much I like him. I've saved up 200k hero feathers, and occasionally spend them on merging units that I'm working on (cough, L'Arachel, and Olivia - haha).

The top characters I use in FEH are:

Celica - This nuclear princess wrecks everything with her destructive Ragnarok build! And she's gorgeous to boot!
Nowi - I decided to +10 her as +ATK -HP, and she's my best distant defence unit.
P!Azura - Her personal weapon's effect and her colour typing makes her a great support, coupled with Wings of Mercy 3/Drive Res 2/Drive Def 2.
Fallen Robin (M) - I normally dislike armoured units because of their movement limitation, but because I was blessed with a perfect IV +ATK -HP Grima, I invested in him and he's quickly become a team staple. My impatience is curbed by the Armoured Boots seal, although that slot could be utilized better with another seal.
Summer!Takumi - His summer attire and firesweep bow are a match made in heaven. The kinshi is the cherry on top.
NY!Azura - A refresher with access to flier buffs - 'nuff said!

Runner up: Adrift Corrin (M), which is basically a weaker Nowi sub in chain challenges. (Harem pants, harem pants! Drea~am prince~!)

I have to say, Summer!Takumi with Firesweep Bow+ and flier buffs absolutely destroys opponents. I don't regret sacrificing my merged, perfect IV Innes to him, since I had long ago foddered Faye to Innes. I rarely used Innes, and do have other copies of him, but it was a sacrifice that had to be done for the greater good. Sometimes life is about making those difficult choices! 😂

Neverland

Perhaps it was a dream, I thought. Perhaps if I pinched myself, I would wake up. But I didn't want to wake up. I wanted to stay in this dream world, where I could be with the characters I loved forever.

---

Sunday mornings were always the busiest for us. We lived in a center-entrance colonial brick house, one of many that lined the streets in our small town. Though our home wasn't a big space, we found great joy in spending time together. Every day was an adventure.

"Hurry up now, we're going to be late," I chided gently.

I watched in amusement as Nowi, a petite girl with long blond hair, struggled to pull on her thigh-high boots. She nearly toppled over in the process.

"I'm ready!" she finally announced, straightening up with a smile.

"All right then. Shall we go?"

"Yeah!"

I took her hand and we bounded out the front door. The crisp fall air entered my lungs, filled with the scent of pine and fresh rain.

"Brr! It's cold!" Nowi complained, clutching her slender arms to her chest.

Laughing, I pulled off my scarf and wrapped it around her head.

"You're the one that chose to wear a frilly pink dress instead of a proper fall outfit. Like, a sweater or something."

"Sweaters are totally not my style, you know?"

"Then you get what you get."

When we got to the church, it was half past eleven. An usher standing by the entrance greeted us pleasantly.

"Good morning. Welcome."

"Hi, good morning!" Nowi chirped back.

I glanced around the foyer to see who was there, but most people were seated inside the sanctuary already. I pulled out my phone to check my messages. From beside me, a man with long hair and graceful features struck up a conversation with Nowi.

"Hello. I've seen you around before."

"Yeah! I'm Nowi. And you are?"

"Libra."

"Well Libra, nice to meet you! You have really pretty hair."

"Libra is a pastor here," I informed her in a warning tone. Sometimes, Nowi's casual attitude got her into trouble. "Be sure to mind your manners."

"Ahhh, Karin! You're not my mom! Don't forget, I'm the older one!"

Libra smiled at our silly antics. "It's a pleasure to meet you ladies."

"We'd better head inside now." I looked up from my phone. "Our friends are waiting for us."

"Talk to you later, Libra!"

As we entered the sanctuary, the melodious sound of voices singing drifted in waves over me. We squeezed our way past an older couple and spotted two familiar figures standing in the church pews. The taller of the two had her eyes closed as she sang, while the shorter boy awkwardly mouthed the words. He looked relieved to see us.

"There you are," Morgan whispered. "It took you long enough."

"You know Nowi likes to sleep in," I murmured under my breath.

Not skipping a beat, Nowi began to sing as well. As the congregation sang, our voices rose to join theirs in worship:

“The very thought of You fills my heart with love
You burn like wildfire and I am overcome
Lover of my soul even unto death
With my every breath I will love You
You are my only hope and You my prize shall be
You are my glory now and in eternity”

As the song ended, I reached out and touched Lucina's arm to alert her to our arrival. She opened her eyes and I was surprised to see that they were wet with tears.

I squeezed her hand. "Are you okay?"

"Do you think father is up there, in heaven?" she asked.

"Absolutely," I answered, without hesitation.

Pastor Libra took the stage and gave an exceptional sermon on how to balance work life with religious life. Numerous points he mentioned resonated strongly with me, as he urged for us to do our best to serve others.

"We should give our best in everything that we do," Libra declared. "When we love and serve our brothers and sisters, we are showing love to our almighty God."

---

After service, the four of us met up in the foyer.

"I'm not feeling well," Lucina said. She squeezed her eyes shut and held her fingers to her temples. "I'm gonna head home first."

I shot a glance at Morgan, who shrugged.

"We'll meet you at home, then," he said. "Get some rest, sis."

Once Lucina was out of earshot, he let out a sigh.

"She's always been like this, ever since our parents died. I mean, that's why she started coming to church. I think it helps her feel... closer to them, somehow."

"I'm sorry. I know it must be hard for the two of you."

"It's all right." His smile came out looking pained. I quickly changed the subject.

"Well! Why don't we find somewhere to eat lunch?"

"Yeah, I'm hungry." Nowi tugged at my sleeve. "Brunch?"

"Sure."

"Say, Karin."  Morgan pointed to a figure standing off to the side. "Does that guy know you?"

A feeling of unease suddenly seized me. I turned and met the gaze of a man staring right at me.

"No," I lied. The hairs on the back of my neck stood on end, as if the temperature in the room dropped. "Come on, start walking."

Nowi and Morgan, completely oblivious to my discomfort, did as told. They rounded the corner; before I could follow them, a hand clapped onto my shoulder and stopped me in my tracks.

"Where do you think you’re going?" an all too familiar voice asked.

---

Nobody really knew where Lucina or her brother Morgan came from, only that they were orphans. Lucina didn't talk much about her past. Her relationship with her boyfriend was tumultuous as well, to say the least; he had a terrible reputation as a Casanova. I felt sorry for her, but they were friends since childhood and had a deeply intertwined past. Who was I to interfere?

Fangirl: Phase II

OK, so I took a mini-hiatus from one of my long-time favourite games, FIRE EMBLEM: HEROES. And I guess I did this because it just wasn't interesting anymore ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ so for a while I played other games, but recently two friends have been updating me on the new stuff in the game so I popped back in to take a look.

The new banner is some sort of "dream" banner where l'il Azura dreams up her family members and dresses them in her style of clothing. LOL, right? I really don't like the outfits, personally. So I'm not tempted to reward IS with any real money. But at the same time, I'm not going to turn down MAIPONPON's art of Corrin in harem pants... hahaha!

HeeEEEEeeellOOooOOOo, yeeee boi gimme some fanservice.
Since FEH is a "horny casino" pandering mainly to the male gaze, it's refreshing to see some of it for women...like me...
Heh... ...What???

That and, did you know I actually had a dream about Corrin a while back, albeit in a different outfit? *screams* So uhhh... I'm reverting back to my fangirl ways to obtain whatever shred of motivation I have to create things. Because original content is so far behind me now, ha-ha.

What else did I want to say... Well, I'm at work right now and I am hella tired. So tired. My brother spent the night talking on the phone and despite my protests, he was really loud. So, I'm running on coffee and reserve energy until I can go home in... LOL, I've barely been at the office for an hour.

Someone help. Lol. *struggles*

You Can't See Me In Askr Castle

A/N: i said i would be working on my novel at the starbucks today, but so far i've been clowning around while my friend works on more excerpts for his story. oh well, here goes:

Though the sun shone brightly in Askr, the air was cold. Kiran wrapped her white robes tighter around her body and hurried through the courtyard. The high altitude of Askr Castle often left her feeling out of breath, so much that quickening her pace was often a struggle.

"Commander Anna, Prince Alfonse," Kiran greeted, as soon as she entered the war council chamber. Sharena was absent. "I've received reports that the Emblian army has advanced and breached our borders. Their troops are marching towards a small village south of the coast."

"This is dire news," Alfonse said.

"You won't like this next part either," Kiran continued. "It appears Princess Veronica herself is leading the charge."

"All the more reason for us to take action," Alfonse declared. "We must move to meet them at once."

Anna looked at Kiran, who hadn't bothered to take off her hood in her haste. Always the rational one, her next words were chosen carefully, with deliberation.

"Our soldiers are still weary from the last battle. We might not be able to spare our resources to save the village."

Alfonse didn't like her answer, Kiran could tell by the way he clenched his jaw and forced himself to even his tone.

"I've never known you to turn away from protecting our people," he said sternly.

"I know how you feel," Anna replied, crossing her arms across her chest. "But I am simply protecting our troops and the Heroes we have worked so painstakingly to summon."

The two of them turned to Kiran expectantly, waiting for the Summoner to determine their course of action, to be the tiebreaker for the debate.

"Well," Kiran started to say. "I..."

--

Meanwhile, in another part of the castle, the fierce glare of sunlight blasting in from the window woke Severa from her slumber. Her long auburn hair, normally fashioned into two twin-tails, spilled across the bed like a waterfall of flame. For a moment she lay still, eyes glossed over like a porcelain doll. Next, the fog of slumber lifted and her brain registered her surroundings. Alarmed by the unfamiliar room, she jerked and snatched up the closest item she could use as a weapon -- a candle holder off the night stand -- and sprung off the bed.

Judging by the view from the window, she wasn't in Nohr, but rather a different country with landscapes unfamiliar to her. Severa noted that the room was high up. Wisps of clouds were everywhere, floating into the sky like ribbons; the sky was shining with an exuberant brightness that could never be imaginable in Nohr.

Her pulse frantically quickened as panic set its way into her mind. Had she been rescued by allies, or captured by foe? She cursed under her breath as she willed her body to remain calm.

"Calm down, Severa," she muttered. "The enemy wouldn't possibly be kind enough to place you in a such nice surroundings."

Gripping the candle holder, she stormed out of the room and braced herself for what she might find.

FE Fangirl

Another Tuesday! Hello, blog.

I finally obtained a Nintendo Switch and Fire Emblem Warriors! My father and mother bought it for me for Christmas. I spent a night playing it until 6AM, and I'm in love with the characters more than ever.

Takumi is a bad-ass. So proud of that little grumpy bean; his gameplay with Fujin Yumi is intense! He's so cool. I was under the impression archers were passive and not very strong, but playing as Takumi really laid all that to rest. Wow!

And Robin... Wow I never thought he was even attractive until this game. Especially when he smiles; I can see why everyone falls in love with the avatar LOL. This is dangerous. And my, him and Chrom's support conversations? Brothers 4 Lyfe!

Speaking of Chrom, I'm low-key/high-key checking out his muscular, sculpted arm. Haha. What's with characters and only wearing a sleeve on one side? *cough*Cloud*cough*. No matter, Chrom is an awesome character and a really swell, decent guy!

I haven't gotten too many hours out of this game, but it certainly has enabled more fangirling/fanwomaning on my part. Waaaahh... ♡♡♡

On the side of reality, my friend booked her flight to L.A. and I need to follow suit soon. I spent the whole night browsing Airbnbs and I'm unsure whether we should stay in downtown or closer to my friend's house. I'm so stoked for a getaway during spring break. I've been feeling dejected all the time over many things. I can't wait to lounge on the beach and tan my sorrows away.

White Castle

I've been so tired. I can't think, I can't sleep. Everything causes me to be so restless.
I have dreams, so many dreams and memories that sift through my mind but cannot be attained in reality. Tell me, what is the solution to such existential thoughts?

Ignore them, push them away. Pretend they aren't there, like a bad thought pushed to the back of your mind.
I can't, I can't... I keep reaching back for you.
But no one is there.
I'm all alone, the sole ruler of a sad white castle.

Two-Faced Lovers

A/N: DEAR GOD, IT BEGINS. I don't know what the hell I'm doing, or where I'm going with this, but all I know is that things are going down--town~ /// And don't ask me why. I'm writin' for fun, okay? I mean, lots of people write fanfiction... right? R-right?!

¯\_(ツ)_/¯ FE: Heroes ~Passion of the Summoner~

: ¨ ·.· ¨ :
`·. There came a knock on the door. Kiran got off her bed, the hem of her nightgown swishing at her feet.

The door opened to reveal Ephraim, the crown prince of Renais.

"Prince Ephraim! What are you doing here?" Kiran exclaimed, clearly startled by his appearance. "It's nearly midnight, milord. You should be resting."

"May I come in?" Ephraim asked. "Princess Shareena informed me that you wanted a sparring partner. Be assured that I am a cut above the rest."

Kiran blinked. It was true that she had mentioned wanting to learn to fight, but she hadn't expected Shareena to take action so quickly. "Milord, perhaps we should reschedule training for another day? It's late, and I don't think I have the energy right this moment."

Fates & Dreams

Disclaimer: This is a personal blog. I use this blog as a means to record my life, thoughts, and random things--like an online diary. If you don't like anything here, please leave!

I had a strange dream last night about Fire Emblem. Since the new app launched with the mobile game FE Heroes, I've been playing it for the past few days and subconsciously things must have seeped into my head!

In my dream, I was in a wedding gown walking down the aisle of an arena to marry Kamui/Corrin from FE Fates! 😐 He was dressed in all black and a black cape with fur trim. It was the weirdest thing ever, seeing as I am a fangirl but never thought of the character that way until I saw him in FE Heroes.

Anyway, I basically had to marry him because we needed to solidify the bonds between our worlds with an alliance. Afterwards we were taken to our living quarters, a home of some sort, with rooms already prepared for the future kids. I guess they expected us to have some... err... and as we walked into the master bedroom together I remember feeling super awkward. What an awkward dream! I'm sure fangirls would love to have this sort of dream about their biases but it was plain strange for me.

Personally, in FE Fates, I am quite fond of Takumi, but only because I think of how fun it would be to brush through his long beautiful hair. I don't actually like his personality or his look that much... I don't know if I really like any male character that much in this series. However, I am fond of the avatar's son Kana, as well as Hinoka and Selkie. It's odd for me because I prefer long hair on girls, but short is cute too!

This dream kinda reminds me of how I always make my avatar marry Chrom in FE Awakening for the two children, Lucina and Morgan. I don't even like Chrom that much, but the support convos between him and the avatar are cute. I honestly can't decide which is the better child, male Morgan or Kana... they're both sweet little peas. I wish real life would be as fun and whimsical as a video game.
