In any case, I managed to churn out an art piece: Akari in her signature heart cutout dress. I'm struggling with her personality and interests, like, a lot. Because I'm so rusty when it comes to character creation haha. I'm going to spitball and see where this takes me...
Akari Bloom
Anyway she's my OC and she has a much older brother, Orion. She's somewhat shy and can be aloof around strangers, unlike Kiria who is a total loudmouth and will chat just about anybody up.
Akari cares a lot about what other people think about her and because of this will often remain silent even if she has something important to say. She harbours a crush on Simeon but will probably never tell him as, in her mind, he is way out of her league and would never feel the same in a million years!
She loves dogs and is probably the only one to console Luke about his nickname of Chihuahua, offering to let him call her a doggy nickname too, like Poodle, but Luke refuses to do so, adamant that doing so would be impolite. She's not afraid to walk Cerberus with Beel or Luke, so Lucifer often calls on her to assist with the task.
I guess the best way to describe her is "The Ordinary Gal". Although she is gifted in some areas of magic, her skills are not extraordinary enough to garner any particular recognition. She is, however, talented at painting and sketching. Art class is her favourite subject at RAD and she was overjoyed when Simeon agreed to model for the class and her piece won the contest. You could say she really poured her heart out for Simeon in her work, haha, and it showed. She also likes to read, and has read enough of the human world classics to converse with Satan and Simeon about them.
Relationships:
Lucifer - Assists him with various tasks when asked. Does not interact with him much. Acquaintance.
Mammon: Rarely speaks with. Not really friends but will occasionally lend money, only in small amounts (feels bad for him). Acquaintance.
Levi: He is too obsessed with his fandoms for her to understand. Politely greets him in passing. Acquaintance.
Satan: Their main shared interest is in literature. She will sometimes have tea with him or hang out at Café Lament together to study, but she finds him too intense and competitive. Friend.
Asmodeus: Admires his style, like, a lot. Doesn't mind his flirtatious attitude and in fact takes advantage of his affectionate nature by calling him whenever she's upset or needs a hug. Loves shopping with him and when he does her hair. Close friend.
Beel: They often go out to grab a bite to eat after school; they take turns treating each other. She likes to try new things so Beel is always taking her around. She finds Beel easygoing and safe to be around, as long as she keeps him occupied with food. Friend but could be closer.
Belphie: Wary around him, but finds him cute. Fully aware of his scheming capabilities but still makes an effort to be kind to him. He sometimes tags along when she spends time with Beel. Acquaintance but could be closer.
Simeon: Worships the ground he walks on, but plays it cool around him. (Asmo is the only one who outright calls her out on this.) She enjoys chatting with him and admires his work as an author immensely. She likes teaching him about the human world and often spends her lunch break in the courtyard with him, creating worlds and characters of their own. Close friend & love interest.
Luke: Very fond of him. Happy to try whatever he bakes up. Lavishes him with praise and consoles him when he's down. They sometimes have sleepovers in Purgatory Hall. Close friend.
She doesn't really interact with Dia or Barb except for pleasantries. Well, what about Solomon...?
Solomon: They’ve worked on projects together and have been each other’s exam partners, but they aren't close. He reminds her too much of a sleazy con man for her to truly let her guard down around him. Acquaintance.
Akari's best friend is a fellow exchange student named Kiria Wilder.
Kiria is the reinvented Karelos for OM! purposes. She loves to eat, drink, and talk up a storm. Life's pleasures are her passion, so naturally, traveling and partying are her favourite hobbies. She has an on-and-off boyfriend in the human world that she often complains about named Joshua.
She comes from a long line of witches and is naturally gifted when it comes to magic. While Akari is staying at the HoL, Kiria is supposed to be living at Purgatory Hall, although she's rarely there; she prefers to stay over with the demons she meets at RAD, whether couch surfing or sleeping with them. She likes to tease Akari about Simeon and offers her room at PH for Akari to use if she wants to stay over and see him. Akari never accepts, however.
Kiria is dismissive of the demon brothers and their status at RAD doesn't faze her. She cosplayed as Ruri-chan as a prank on Levi one time, to see if she could get a reaction out of him. Although Levi was insanely embarrassed and flustered by her dressing up as his fav character and hitting on him, after taking a million photos on his D.D.D. he offered to dress up as a character she liked in return... to which she blurted out "Makoto" without thinking, a popular character from a human world anime about swimming.
Levi, being at home in the water, agreed. Some time passed before he called Kiria to visit him at HoL. He really did don the wig and skintight swim shorts, and posed for her inside Henry's tank.
Kiria finds him to be a huge dork, but is happy for the photos of "Levikoto" or "Makiathan". She notes how he takes cosplay seriously and maintains a great bod for that purpose.
Before she leaves she plants a kiss on his cheek, thanking him for the good time. Something clicks for both of them that day, but as they are polar opposites in personality and interests, nothing comes of this for a good while. She does find herself hanging out with him more, bringing snacks over to watch anime together. She isn't into gaming but will tolerate watching him live stream.
The turning point for Kiria and Levi's relationship probably came the night some of the demon brothers wanted to watch a horror movie, Kiria's fav genre. They were gathered in the twin's room and she found herself leaning against Levi, using him as a back rest. Levi busied himself with shoving popcorn into his mouth, but allowed the close proximity. Akari was using Asmo's hands to cover her face while Mammon was using her and Asmo's bodies to shield him from the TV. Beel was munching away on the snacks and Belphie was curled up comfortably, half watching and half asleep.
After the movie, Akari couldn't sleep alone and left with Asmo for the night. Kiria asked if Levi was up for a late night anime marathon and of course he agreed. Back in his room, she climbed into his lap with a blanket and cozied up to him. They got halfway through the episode when Levi suddenly paused the show, something completely uncharacteristic of him.
He asked Kiria why she was doing this, why she went out of her way to spend time with someone like him.
"It feels good, so I want to. Don't you?"
The awkward silence stretches on for a bit before Levi tells her to close her eyes. By then Kiria can already sense what he intends to do and squeezes her eyes shut. He kisses her softly on the mouth, his lips salty from the popcorn butter. For some reason Kiria's heart starts to race, which surprises her as she's kissed plenty of others and Levi isn't even her type. She opens her eyes and closes the distance between them, pressing their foreheads together and staring into his eyes.
"Wanna just cuddle and talk?" she asks, and they do so until they fall asleep wrapped in each other's arms.
When Levi wakes up the next day she isn't there, and a Ruri-chan body pillow has taken her place. He can still catch the scent of her perfume in the air, and that stirs up feelings inside him he didn't know he could have.

Akari - Can't decide if I want her to have brown eyes or purple eyes but brown is cuter. She always has her hair tied up, whether in a half ponytail or full. She likes cute clothing and doesn't mind showing a bit of skin.
