30 Day Writing Challenge 2020

Day 1: List 10 things that make you really happy.

Hmm. This should be super easy, as I'm a simple lady and get really excited over 'insignificant' things. Listed in no particular order, and I left God/Jesus out because that should be a given.

1.) Sunshine, warm weather
2.) My doggo and hiking with my doggo
3.) Cooking, feeding my friends/family
4.) FIRE EMBLEM!
5.) Singing
6.) When people enjoy my writing
7.) Gushing over my fandoms and my friends humour me
8.) Music, a song with melody I enjoy
9.) Wearing cute clothes, wearing pink
10.) My beautiful hair - courtesy of my dear Gienny, and my beautiful tattoos - courtesy of my dear Sim

Day 2: Write something that someone told you about yourself that you never forgot.

"It's daunting, Karin, but this shared exercise in becoming self-aware can allow us to get off the couch, go outside, read great books, and make cool new friends. For the record, you've got a challenging sales job, while attending university, aspiring to become a librarian. When I worked with you at Cellcom Wireless at Richmond Centre, I asked who he hires, and he said not students, except you, because you're amazing. Also, the Lolita outfits you make are the best cosplay I've seen of anyone I've known personally. I haven't gotten around to reading your blog lately, but Sheep-Doll seems cool So, from where I'm sitting, it seems like you exercise great diligence, and creative output, in life. Messages like these might get us down on ourselves, but my intent is for us to realize that if we don't take our own depression so seriously, having fun in new ways will bring us closer to our ideals much faster, and more easily, than anyone would expect."

The part saying "I asked who he hires, and he said not students, except you, because you're amazing" really stuck with me and helped me to raise my confidence in a time where I was unsure of myself. And that's really amazing.

Haha, also, I can't believe at one point I did aspire to be a librarian... and lol, I didn't make my lolita dresses myself nor is it cosplay, but y'know, nothing's perfect! 😂 I'm so grateful for my mentors and supporters in life, that helped me be who I am today.
