Honey Bear

So a lot of things have fallen apart and been shaky lately. I'm just gonna focus on school and work. What else can I do? Don't think about it.

Yesterday I wore my lovely Honey Cake JSK with the new wig that arrived. It's super soft and I am in love with Gabalnara. I'm really happy I chose this style and colour. I don't know if it's 'realistic' enough, per se, but I cut the bangs as best I could and bravely wore it out.

I'm so scared to mess up the bangs! I'm going to leave it like this for now and perhaps get a friend to touch it up later. I think I give off a very 'country doll' vibe, don't you?

Lovely Parcels and iPhone 5 Release

So today was iPhone 5's official release date. To be honest, my store didn't receive as much traffic as I thought it would. The hype for iPhone seems to be dying off a bit compared to previous years.

Anyway, I got to work with my lovely coworker Lisa ~ and here we are taking a picture of ourselves using the lovely Samsung Galaxy S3 ! The skin beautifier on that device is simply marvellous.

My wig from Gabalnara still didn't arrive, but the novelty files I bought came this morning! Two lovely folders featuring artwork by Kira Imai, the artist for Angelic Pretty. The two prints are "Wonder Story" and "Chess Chocolate"! I own the CC OP in pink, but I haven't yet managed to hunt down WS JSK in wine.

I just couldn't copy the awesomeness with my camera, but I will attempt to take decent photos of the folders... sometime..!

I find it interesting the wig I ordered is sort-of similar to the hair of the girls in the artwork. So here it is~

I should probably stop with the consumerism since I need to save for my new car. It isn't going to buy itself! But I want to hunt down my dream dresses so badly!

I don't know why I want this print so much. Maybe because it's so unique.
It's selling for 15,000yen to start, which isn't such a bad price. If only it were the JSK!
But even if it were the JSK, I don't know if I want the pink colourway. (I would probably buy it anyway.)
It's just because I have so much pink in my wardrobe. Everything is pink; pink dresses and white elements.

Why I so pink? But only in Lolita.

There isn't a shred of pink on me in "real life"...!

Dinner and Dessert

Yesterday night, I went to eat dinner at Suika with Lisa. Afterwards, we drove to have dessert at 100% Healthy Desserts, which is this Cantonese-style dessert place in Richmond. It was a real funny night because me + driving = things happening...

I had some custard thing while Lisa had some fruit-filled soup thing. And yeah, that was my evening.

When I got home and went into my room, I see Shan sitting on a stool curling her hair...

It was a very strange experience.

Clever Cupcakes

Clever Cupcakes is a small bakery across from Coquitlam Centre. They use all-natural ingredients for their baking; their red velvet cupcakes don't even have any food colouring! (Not much red in the velvet there.)

Shan and I bought these cupcakes before we went for a walk around Coquitlam Centre last week. My favourite was the "banana chocolate" flavour (top left corner with a yellow flower). I believe they were half a dozen for $14. I prefer these cupcakes over the ones from Cupcakes Etc.

Some lolita believe that in order to be a "true lolita" they have to wear lolita clothing all the time, which simply isn't true. It may be for some "Lolitists", but I'm sure the majority don't think that way. In fact, a lot of lolita I know have other fashion styles they like, such as fairy kei, otome, mori girl, or hime gyaru.

I hope this post can inspire girls who work in conservative office environments, who may like other fashion styles, or who cannot afford to have a closet stuffed full of lolita dresses for every single day.

Fawn Fur

Autumn is fast approaching. I can't believe summer is nearing its end so quickly; I seems like I didn't really go anywhere or do anything. (。・_・。) What I did do is work a lot this summer though, so I can afford to buy a lot of luxurious things have lots of money in my savings. Yes.

This autumn, what I'd really like to purchase is a fawn fur collar. (Not real fur, goodness! But if it were, I probably wouldn't complain.) I've seen some released by Innocent World and Swimmer and there is a post on "F Yeah Lolita" on fawn fur in Lolita fashion here.

Fawn fur makes any dress or outfit look a bit more snug in the colder months. Reminiscent of Bambi, I think the pattern is cute and fashionable at the same time. I want to wear the collar over some of my new Emily Temple Cute dresses, which haven't yet arrived. I am eagerly awaiting them.

Another clothing item I am seeking out to buy is a fur vest, in brown or white. I really want to wear some fur elements in my coordinates this winter. As much as I love sunny summer, I love winter for the all the layering and cozy fashions. I love cardigans, sweaters, thick tights, OTK socks, and toasty boots!
